Insolvency proceedings were initiated against Jet Airways (“the Company”) under Insolvency and Bankruptcy code, 2016 (“Code”) vide Hon’ble Court order dated 20 June 2019. As per the provisions of the Code, on June 24, 2019, a public announcement was made by the erstwhile resolution professional of Jet Airways (court appointed officer to manage the affairs during insolvency) inviting all claimants to submit their claims.
The filed claims were verified and status of the same were provided in the List of Creditors issued from time to time. If you had filed your claim for the cancelled ticket, then please check if your name appears in the LOC (Version 9) dated 3 October 2020 (“LOC”) along with the admitted portion of the claim. If your name appears in the LOC (refer to admitted column of LOC for admitted amount), then you will be entitled to a refund of your actual dues, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000.
No. The Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (“CIRP”) is already concluded, and the Company is being restructured as per Court Approved Resolution Process and as per law, so no further claims can be admitted now.
Not really. If you had submitted your claim within the allocated time as provided under the public announcement and your name appears in the LOC (refer to admitted column of LOC for admitted amount), then you will be entitled to a refund of your actual dues, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000.
Also, if you booked your ticket through a travel agent/ online travel aggregator and your travel agent/ online travel aggregator submitted their claim within the permissible time and their name appears in the LOC (refer to admitted column of LOC for admitted amount), then your travel agent/ an online travel aggregator will be entitled to a refund of a maximum sum of Rs. 15,000 (irrespective of the number of tickets booked by such travel agent/ online travel aggregator).
If your name appears in the LOC and the amount of claim filed is admitted, then you are not required to contact anyone in the Company again. The Company will refund you the outstanding dues, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000, when it initiates the refund process. The Company will publish the timelines on its website and official social media handles, when it initiates the refund process and refund amounts will be credited to the bank account details provided by you at time of claim submission to the erstwhile resolution professional.
If your name does not appear in the LOC, but the name of your travel agent/ online travel aggregator appears, then your travel agent/ an online travel aggregator will be entitled to a maximum refund of Rs. 15,000 (irrespective of the number of tickets booked by such travel agent/ online travel aggregator). You may connect with your travel agent/ online travel aggregator for details on the claims filed by them on your behalf.
No. Till such time your name appears in the LOC and claim is admitted, then you are entitled to get your outstanding dues, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000.
All refund payments (to passengers or travel agent/online aggregators) will be processed by the Company only through online bank account transfer to be credited to the bank account details provided at time of claim submission to the erstwhile resolution professional.
No. The Company is being restructured as per Court Approved Resolution Process and all past claims have to be dealt with in the manner approved by the Court.

If your name appears in the LOC and the amount claimed is admitted, then you are entitled to get either cash refund of your outstanding dues, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000 or ticket credits for equivalent amounts. However, you will have to opt for seeking such credits. As part of the process, you will be entitled to credit for future tickets as per your actual dues subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000. Credit for future tickets will be issued in the form of redeemable vouchers. Each voucher will be issued in the multiple of Rs. 1,000. These vouchers will be transferrable in nature before issuance of any ticket. These vouchers can be redeemed against more than 1 (one) domestic ticket. The window period of future credit shall be available for 1 year. Tickets can be availed during April-June quarters and August-October quarters on sectors where Jet Airways recommences its operation. The Company will publish the process and timelines on its website and on its official social media handles, when it initiates the process, and you can then opt for either cash refund or credit for future ticket purchases.
If you booked ticket using JP Miles, then you cannot get any refund or credit of the used miles.
However, if you used both JP Miles and paid in cash to book your ticket and your name appears in the LOC and the amount claimed is admitted (to the extent of cash paid only), then you are entitled to get refund or future ticket credits, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000.
Jet Privilege Loyalty programme is governed by rules established by a separate company which is under a separate management, so Jet Airways cannot revalidate your JP miles.
JP Miles, now known as Inter Miles, is a separate loyalty programme and you may visit Inter Miles website or contact Inter Miles customer services team to obtain further information about the program.
The Company is being restructured as per Court Approved Resolution Process and all creditors shall be paid as per the NCLT approved revival plan submitted by the Jalan Kalrock Consortium. Under the approved revival plan, a maximum sum of Rs. 15,000 is payable for ticket refunds to each party whose name appears in the LOC (refer to admitted column of LOC for admitted amount). Even if you paid more than Rs. 15,000 to buy your tickets, your maximum refund entitlement is Rs. 15,000.

As stated above, the Company is planning to restart operations in accordance with the NCLT approved revival plan. The company cannot entertain any further claims if the same was not filed or admitted by the erstwhile resolution professional within the permissible timelines.
