Terms and Conditions - eTicketing


The following definitions apply unless the context requires otherwise:

  • 'Carriage' is equivalent to 'transportation'
  • 'Itinerary Receipt' means the document issued (generated on screen) for reference containing booking details and status of the booking
  • 'Electronic Ticket Terms' means these conditions of contract and terms of carriage and the transport and services provided pursuant to them;
  • 'Operator' means Jet Airways and any carrier or service supplier designated in this Ticket or providing transport or services under this Ticket or performing any other service incidental to such air carriage;
  • 'Guest' means the person or persons nominated on this Ticket as being the guest using the transport or services specified in this Ticket (as the context requires);
  • 'Purchaser' means the purchaser of this Ticket;
  • 'Ticket' means these Electronic Ticket Terms and your Customer Receipt and all documentation issued to you (excluding any insurance documentation)

Electronic Ticket is Jet Airway's ticketless travel service. An electronic image of your ticket is stored in Jet Airway's reservation system. The itinerary receipt is your confirmation of travel.

Once purchased the system will generate an Electronic Ticket and a printable itinerary receipt will be displayed.

You will need to print this itinerary receipt and use it for your access to the airport and check-in.

To enter the airport and for check-in, you must present the itinerary receipt along with a valid photo identification (Official Government issued photo identification / driving license / election photo identification / Passport [for international guests] / photo credit card). Guests travelling with infants are requested to carry a valid document as proof indicating the infant's age.

Conditions of Contract:

General Conditions:

  • The Operator's name may be abbreviated in this Ticket, the full name and its abbreviation being set forth in Operator's tariffs, conditions of Carriage, regulations or timetables. The Operator's address shall be the airport of departure shown opposite the first abbreviation of the operator's name in the ticket; the agreed stopping places are those places set forth in this ticket or as shown in the Operator's timetables as scheduled stopping places on the Guest's route. Carriage to be performed under this Ticket is applicable only for Operator mentioned in the ticket
  • The fare for Carriage under this Ticket is subject to change prior to the commencement of Carriage. The Operator may refuse Carriage if the applicable fare has not been paid
  • Any money received for this Ticket is received in trust for the issuing Operator
  • Guests must check-in to board the Operator's flight at the Operator's check-in facility by the time fixed by the Operator from time to time, or if no time is fixed, at least 75 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time and comply with all applicable government travel requirements. Failure to do so may result in the Guest's booking under this Ticket being cancelled. Any of the following events constitutes a cancellation:
    • failure to produce the itinerary receipt or valid photo identification
    • failure to board a booked flight or no-show;
    • request to cancel part or the entire ticketed journey; and
    • breaking any of these agreed Electronic Ticket Conditions of Contract and Terms of Carriage
  • This Operator is responsible only for transport or a service provided by it and has no liability for any other transport or services
  • eTicket is not transferable. There is no obligation to provide any transport or services under this Ticket unless the Guest produces a valid identity when entering the airport or checking in for a flight
  • eTicket is valid only for the transport and services specified on its face. Subject to these Electronic Ticket Terms, the Purchaser may incur additional charges where the Purchaser alters or cancels transport or services or their order. Under certain fare structures, this Ticket may become valueless and not refundable if not used on the date or for the transport or services specified on its face. Not all services or fare types are necessarily available to all Guests
  • The Purchaser (on behalf of the Purchaser and any Guest) acknowledges receipt of this Ticket. The Purchaser acknowledges that it is acquiring this Ticket as agent for any guest other than the Purchaser
  • This Operator undertakes to use its best efforts to carry the guest and baggage with reasonable dispatch. Times shown in timetables or elsewhere are not guaranteed and form no part of the Electronic Ticket Terms. An Operator may without notice substitute alternate aircraft, and may omit stopping places shown on the ticket in case of necessity. Schedules and fares are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for any cancellation and delay of our flights. No Operator assumes any responsibility for making connections between or with the flights it offers the flights of another airline or any other form of transport
  • An Operator may, without notice, substitute means of transport or service suppliers. These Electronic Ticket Terms apply to any substituted or altered means of transport or service suppliers
  • Industrial disputes, loading restrictions, unsuitable weather, terrorism, war, governmental action or any action carried on with the authority of the government and other operating restrictions may necessitate cancellation or delay of transport or services. Operators reserve the right to cancel a Ticket for these and any other reason beyond the reasonable control of the relevant Operator
  • If the Guest is landed at a place other than the destination specified in this Ticket, the Operator will make reasonable efforts to transport them to the destination specified in this Ticket but with no obligation as to time, date, or means of transport
  • The Guest must comply with all laws and regulations and with the instructions of the Operator and its representatives. The Guest also agrees to submit to searches of the Guest's person and baggage for security purposes
  • If, in the opinion of a representative of the Operator, the Guest is in breach of these Electronic Ticket Terms or is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or that it is necessary for the safety or comfort or security of other guests or for the protection of property, or seeks to travel in violation of applicable law or tariffs the Operator reserves the right to refuse carriage and may deny the Guest boarding or require the Guest to leave the aircraft or other means of transport, and may if necessary physically remove the Guest from the aircraft or other means of transport, or physically restrain the Guest
  • These Electronic Ticket Terms may not be modified or waived by any person
  • If any of these Term fails to have all, some or any effect, or causes any other of these Electronic Ticket Terms to fail it shall be read down or severed to the extent required preserve the rest of these Electronic Ticket Terms
  • Wherever it is issued, this Ticket and Carriage or services supplied thereunder are governed by the law of India and subject to jurisdiction of the Courts of Mumbai
  • Below are the cabin and checked Baggage dimensions.

Baggage information for journey(s) to / from United States of America (USA):

For journeys(s) to / from USA, Jet Airways will honour the baggage policy of the first marketing airline irrespective of the ticket issue date / validating airline.

Limitation of Liability:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jet Airways is not liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage, including those based in negligence, whether actual, incidental or consequential (including lost profits or other special damages) which arises out of or is in any way connected with any of the following items:

  • access or use of www.jetairways.com Online booking facility;
  • data, information or material contained in the jetairways.com Online booking facility including the use of such data, information or material to check prices and availability or for reservations, ticketing or any other use;
  • submission of any personal or business information, including bank and credit / debit card details;
  • unavailability of the jetairways.com Online booking facility to you in whole or in part or any failure or delay in any way connected with the use of the booking facility because of the global computer network, ancillary equipment, the systems of Jet Airways systems or technology or any other circumstances, including the use of or inability to use the jetairways.com Online booking facility to check prices and availability or for reservations, ticketing or any other use;
  • the performance or non-performance by Jet Airways or the failure of any function or service associated with the jetairways.com Online booking facility, in whole or in part;
  • any unauthorized access or breach of security into the jetairways.com Online booking facility through the global computer network;
  • any booking or reservation made through the jetairways.com booking facility that has not registered or is delayed or is in error

If Jet Airways is found liable for any loss or damage which arises out of or is in any way connected with any accessing or use of the jetairways.com Online booking facility then the liability of Jet Airways will in no event exceed, in the aggregate, any subscription fee and / or service charge for accessing the Jet Airways Online booking facility.

Please note: For Guests travelling from United Kingdom to any destination that transits onwards through any Indian Gateway, Carriage of any liquid above 100 mls is not permitted. This includes any duty free items purchased on board or at any of the airport(s) due to security reasons.
