Cabin Baggage
In our endeavor to ensure an enhanced travel experience, on-time departure and safety of our guests, we request all our guests to carry only 1 cabin baggage weighing a maximum of 7 kgs. JetPrivilege Platinum, Gold members and Première guests will be entitled to 1 cabin baggage weighing a maximum of 10kgs + 1 laptop bag.
Cabin baggage allowance may vary depending on the type of aircraft, class of travel (First Class,
Première or Economy), domestic or
international flights, route and JetPrivilege Tier status.

The Government of India regulations permit only one piece of cabin baggage on board.
Trolley bags with the above specified dimensions will be allowed.
An infant carrying basket is allowed per infant traveling within India.
JetPrivilege Platinum, Gold members and Première guests will be entitled to 1 cabin baggage weighing a maximum of 10kgs + 1 laptop bag across all Jet Airways
flights within India.
Guests travelling on flights originating from Srinagar and Leh stations will not be allowed to
carry any cabin baggage.

In addition to the above one foldable garment bag or a lap top bag will be permitted.
One fully collapsible stroller or an infant carrying basket is allowed per infant travelling on our
international routes.
Cabin Baggage Acceptance Criteria
Contours are available at all airports to check the dimensions of your cabin baggage. In case your
cabin baggage exceeds the specifications, you
will be requested to check-in your bag. Hand baggage is accepted in the cabin subject to availability of space in the
overhead bin. Restricted stowage space is also
available under the seat in front of you. In case there is no space available in the aircraft to stow hand baggage, we
will need to remove and load the same in the
baggage hold as per safety regulations.
Additional items which are allowed in the cabin
In addition to the free cabin baggage allowance, the following articles, may be carried inside the
aircraft (subject to security regulations):
An overcoat wrap or blanket
An umbrella or walking stick
A lady's handbag, pocketbook or purse
Reading material for the flight
A small camera and/or a pair of binoculars
Infant's carrying basket
Infant food for consumption on the flight
A fully collapsible invalid's wheelchair and/or a pair of crutches and / or braces or other
prosthetic device for the guest's use provided that
the guest is dependent upon them.
Kindly follow these simple steps for carriage of cabin baggage for your convenience, safety and to
enable us complete the boarding process
seamlessly and ensure an on-time departure.
Always carry a single cabin bag per guest.
Your cabin bag weight should not exceed 7 kgs.
Ensure the containers carrying liquids must not exceed 100 ml in volume.
Reach the boarding gate at least 25 minutes prior to departure.
Regulations for cabin baggage
Gels, alcohol, liquids, creams and lotions more than 100 ml and sharp articles, etc. are not permitted
in the cabin baggage.
Guests
arriving at Delhi and Mumbai from an international flight and transiting to another flight (international or within India)
will not be permitted to carry liquids more
than 100 ml in their cabin baggage when undergoing security clearance at these airports.
Carriage of Liquids, Aerosols and Gels
Guidelines for carrying liquids and gels in your hand baggage:
You are required to present liquids and gels separately when passing through the security
check.
You can carry a re-sealable transparent plastic bag which should not exceed 1 litre in volume. Only
1 bag will be allowed per guest.
Liquids, gels, pastes, lotions and aerosols are not permitted in containers bigger than 100
ml.
Liquids, aerosols and gels include:
Water, soups, syrups and other drinks
Creams, lotions and oils
- Perfumes
- Sprays
- Mascara
Gels including hair and shower gels
Contents of pressurised containers, including shaving foam, other foams and deodorants
Pastes including toothpaste
Liquid — solid mixtures
Any other item of similar consistency
The below mentioned items will be permitted for carriage along with cabin baggage.
- Baby food
- Medication
- Special diet food
Prohibition of carriage of Lithium battery powered devices onboard.
In the interest of safety of all guests onboard our flights, all personal motorized transportation
devices using Lithium-ion batteries, including,
and similar to hover-boards, Segways, airwheels, solowheels, mini-segway, balance wheels, self-balancing boards, balance
gliders are prohibited for transportation on
Jet Airways flights as checked-in or carry-on baggage, with immediate effect.
Such devices will be accepted as cargo consignments subject to production of the required documentation
for the device and batteries as well as
meeting the packaging and labeling requirements as per the IATA DGR Manual for Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
Cabin baggage restrictions to the United States of America and United Kingdom
Restrictions to the United States of America
In line with additional security measures introduced by the United States Department of Homeland Security (US DHS), effective March 25, 2017, and until further notice, guests are advised not to carry the below listed personal electronic devices as cabin baggage on any Jet Airways international flight, and connecting onto the United States of America from:
- Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) - Abu Dhabi
- Ataturk International Airport (IST) - Istanbul
- Cairo International Airport (CAI) - Cairo
- Dubai International Airport (DXB) - Dubai
- Hamad International Airport (DOH) - Doha
- King Abdul-Aziz International Airport (JED) - Jeddah
- King Khalid International Airport (RUH)- Riyadh
- Kuwait International Airport (KWI) - Kuwait
- Mohammed V Airport (CMN) - Morocco
- Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) - Jordan
Please ensure you DO NOT carry any electronic device above the size of a smart phone in your cabin baggage and, or in person if through checked-in to the United States of America.
These include, but not limited to:
- Laptops
- Tablets
- E-Readers
- Cameras
- Portable DVD players
- Electronic game units larger than a smartphone
- Travel printers/scanners
Restrictions to the United Kingdom
In light of the changes to the aviation security measures announced by the United Kingdom Department of Transport, guests will not be allowed to carry personal electronic devices such as phones, laptop and tablets on any Jet Airways international flight, and connecting onto the United Kingdom from:
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- Saudi Arabia
- Tunisia
- Turkey
Please ensure you DO NOT carry any electronic device in your cabin baggage, or in person which are larger than:
- Length - 16.0 cms
- Width - 9.3 cms
- Depth - 1.5 cms
The above devices must be placed in the check-in baggage at the point of origin airport, to avoid any further inconvenience to your journey into the United States of America or the United Kingdom.
Failing to do so, will result in guests being denied boarding at the point of transit and or, having to surrender their device to the authorities of that airport, without any responsibility upon Jet Airways to assist them in storing and repatriating guests and their device(s).
If guests choose not to travel onwards at the transit point due confiscation of their device, they will be responsible for all associated costs related to rebooking, accommodation, penalties and such other fees at that time.
Jet Airways will not reimburse, compensate, or refund any related costs or losses incurred during your travel, due to your failure to comply with this US DHS control measure.
Rules for carrying liquids in a hand baggage at EU Airports
The European Union (EU) has adopted new security rules for carrying liquids in hand baggage to ensure
the safety of guests on all flights.
Shopping at EU Airports
Buying liquids and gels at any European Union (EU) airport, after passing through the security check or
onboard the aircraft, which are packed
orsealed and accompanied with a receipt, will be permitted. An unbroken seal is valid for 24 hours.
Shopping at Non-EU Airports
Buying liquids and gels at non-EU airports is not permitted. If you change planes at an EU airport your
purchases will be confiscated by the airport
security.
Your purchases can also be confiscated if you buy liquids and gels onboard an aircraft operated by an
airline from a non-EU country.
