Carriage of an expectant mother (pregnant woman) on Jet Airways aircraft is governed as per the following policy. The policy differs for flights within India and flights to Colombo, Dhaka, and Kathmandu and for International flights except Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu.
Please Note:
Post a normal delivery and in the absence of any complications, the mother would be permitted to fly 48 hours after delivery provided she has a 'Fitness-to-Fly' certificate from her treating obstetrician.
Post a Caesarean delivery, the mother would be permitted to fly one week after the delivery provided she has a
'Fitness-to-Fly' certificate from her treating obstetrician.
Infants less than 7 days old will not be permitted to undertake both domestic and international travel. However, in an exigency, wherein life saving treatment is mandatory for the infant, the mother may be permitted to fly with the infant, provided the new born is certified 'fit to fly', by the concerned paediatrician / treating neonatologist and is accompanied by at least an MBBS doctor.
'Fitness-to-Fly' certificate is valid for a period of 10 days from the date of issue. However, in case of any associated complications, the guest may be requested to produce a more recent certificate (within 48 hours).
