Effective December 21, 2014, security procedures at Hamad
International Airport have been enhanced.
At the airport security check, your hand-baggage will be
screened and you will be required to walk through a metal detector.
You will need to remove all large electronic items (e.g.
tablets, laptops etc.) from your cabin baggage and place them in a tray at
screening. The security teams may ask you to turn on any electrical or battery
powered devices to demonstrate the item's functionality, hence it is advisable
the charging cables for the accompanying devices.
In addition to the above:
Kindly ensure that you are not carrying any prohibited
items including sharp items, firearms, weapons, explosives (e.g. fireworks)
and liquids over
100ml in volume. Any liquid containers of 100ml or less will need to be packed
in a clear, re-sealable plastic bag and then placed in the tray at security
