Jet Airways, India’s premier airline, has been conferred three prestigious awards at the Times Travel Honours 2011. At a glittering ceremony in Mumbai on October 12th 2011, India’s preferred international carrier was honoured with the “Most Trusted Airline Brand”, “Best Domestic Full Service Carrier” and “Best International (Economy) Airline” for 2011 at the travel awards instituted by the Times Group.

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline has been rated the best on time performer amongst all other scheduled domestic airlines with an on time performance of 94.9%. JetLite, the airlines wholly owned subsidiary was also not too far behind registering an impressive On-Time Performance 91% per cent respectively, as per the figures released by the Director General of Civil Aviation. Together the Jet Airways Group while posting its seventeenth month of consecutive growth also maintained its dominant leadership position in the Indian aviation sector with a market share of 25.4%.

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has been awarded the ‘Air Cargo Award of Excellence 2011’ by the Air Cargo World Magazine, a leading trade publication serving the freight industry worldwide. The Air Cargo Excellence survey is based upon a rating system that measures airlines and airports on specific criteria and subsequently ranks them to identify their performance levels.

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has been awarded the “Regional Deal of the Year” for 2010 by the Airfinance Journal, a leading financial magazine serving the commercial aviation industry worldwide. The award to Jet Airways was for structuring an innovative operating lease for its six ATR aircraft, under a deal with Calyon Bank, France and Investec in London. Under this deal, the airline took delivery of six new ATR aircraft between October and December 2010. This is the second such award accorded to the airline by Airfinance journal.

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, was adjudged the winner of the coveted Customer & Brand Loyalty Award 2011 in the “Domestic Commercial Airlines Sector” for the fourth consecutive year at a gala award ceremony at Intercontinental, The Lalit, Mumbai. The award was received by Ms. Sonu Kripalani, Vice President Passenger Sales, Jet Airways in the presence of an august gathering of industry stalwarts. The 4th Loyalty Summit Awards held on 27th & 28th January 2011, were presented by Carlson Marketing. The Customer & Brand Loyalty Awards are the outcome of a combination of extensive Consumer Research undertaken in six Indian cities with a sample of 25,000 plus consumers aided by nominations received from organisations. The Nielsen Company is accredited with the Research for the Awards Nominees & the Winners.

Jet Airways Group Chairman - Naresh Goyal was today conferred the prestigious “Hall of Fame” Award at the Hotel Investment Forum India 2011 in Mumbai. This also marks the first time that a non-hotelier was accorded the prestigious award, a departure from tradition by the Hotel Investment Forum India. The Hall of Fame Award was accorded to Naresh Goyal for his significant contributions towards taking hospitality to the skies – providing guests a truly world class onboard hospitality experience, rivaling the best 5 star comfort and service anywhere in the world and more importantly for nurturing and growing an iconic Indian service brand, into one of the premier International airlines in the world. The award was presented to Mr. Naresh Goyal by the Honorable Minister for Tourism Kumari Selja at a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai. The earlier recipients of this prestigious award have been Mr. P.R.S. Oberoi, Chairman and CEO of EIH Hotels and Captain C.P. Krishnan Nair, Chairman The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts.
