MUMBAI: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, was recently declared the ‘Best Domestic Airline’ at the seventh edition of the CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards 2013. At a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai, the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shri Prithviraj Chavan, was the chief guest and Jet Airways was proud to receive this prestigious award in front of several luminaries from the travel and trade industry.
The seventh edition of the Travel Awards was organised by CNBC Awaaz, India’s premier business channel, in association with Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), responsible for development of tourism in the state.
The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards 2013 are based on an exhaustive consumer response study conducted across the country, with over 10000 respondents across all segments. The awards seek to recognize and honour the best in class destinations, organizations and service providers based on an objective study conducted by CNBC AWAAZ across multimedia platforms. They put into perspective the emerging trends in India's tourism ranging from leisure, medical, adventure and heritage tourism.
Mr. Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said: “It is an honor to be recognised as the best domestic airline within the country.
