Jet Airways announces monsoon super apex fares and a slew of other promotional fares for this season

Jet Airways announces the launch of its the unique 30-day Monsoon Super Apex Fares on some metro routes with immediate effect and valid till September 15, 2004.

The airline has also announced special Point-to-Point Fares, Return Excursion Fares and innovative promotional fares to Patna and Lucknow.

The new Monsoon Super Apex Fares are even lower than the existing Super Apex Fares but are governed by the same terms and conditions. Passengers holding the existing Super Apex Fare tickets may have these reissued to the Monsoon Super Apex Fares so as to fully avail of the additional benefits of this scheme, provided the 30-day advance purchase requirement is fulfilled.

The entire journey against these fares must be completed on or before October 15, 2004.

Special Monsoon Point-to-Point & Return Excursion Fares

Jet Airways will offer attractive travel deals that entail substantial savings over normal fares under its Special Monsoon Point-to-Point and Return Excursion Fares in Economy Class valid from July 26, 2004 until October 15, 2004. Available on 56 and 26 sectors respectively, these will involve combination of travel to non-metro sectors via metro sectors or vice versa.

Indian residents and foreigners holding resident or work permits can avail of these fares. Child and infant fares are permitted as are stopovers at intermediate points. However, only one way or return journey is allowed and rerouting and change in class or sector is not permitted on issuance of the ticket. Passengers utilising these fares are required to carry a valid photo id at the time of travel.

Innovative Fares to Patna & Lucknow

As an inaugural offer on Jet Airways' new Delhi-Patna-Delhi flights, to commence operations from August 16, 2004, passengers buying a return Economy Class ticket at Rs.11,110 for this sector will be allowed to take their companion free of charge. Only the applicable Government taxes are required to be paid, and the outbound journey must be undertaken together while the return leg can be done separately.

Similarly, on the Delhi-Lucknow-Delhi sectors a special one-way Economy Class fare of Rs.1,999, as against the existing normal Economy Class fare of Rs.3,790, will be introduced effective July 26, 2004. Valid until October 15, 2004, passengers already holding normal Economy Class tickets may get these reissued for this special fare at no extra charge.

Jet Airways has a fleet comprising of 33 Classic and Next-Generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft and eight modern ATR 72-500 turbo-prop aircraft. With an average aircraft age of only four years the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleet in Asia. Jet Airways currently operates over 255 flights daily to 43 destinations, including daily flights to two international destinations, Colombo in Sri Lanka and Kathmandu in Nepal.

Since inception on May 05, 1993 till end June 2004 Jet Airways has flown over 44.8 million passengers.
