MUMBAI: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, was adjudged the BEST in AVIATION at the prestigious "NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2011". At a glittering ceremony held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai on January 7, 2011, the NDTV Awards brought together the finest business minds and top bureaucrats of the country to acknowledge the very best, the brightest and most dynamic amongst corporate India for their relentless pursuit of excellence, a direct corollary to which has been the emergence of India at the forefront of a global economy.

Mr. Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways, received the prestigious award on behalf of the Jet Airways family from the Union Finance Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee at the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2011, in the presence of several luminaries from the business fraternity.

On receiving the award, Mr. Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways said, “I am deeply humbled for Jet Airways to be conferred this prestigious award and offer my heartfelt thanks to NDTV Profit for this singular honour. Jet Airways was previously accorded the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Award in the Aviation category in July 2006.

Extensive research was carried out to determine the nominees and the winners under the guidance of leading names from the industry and business world who comprised the jury, including Naina Lal Kidwai, Group General Manager and Country Head, HSBC India, T.N. The airline flies to 27 domestic destinations and 1 international destination (Kathmandu), operating 123 flights a day, on average.
