With a view to ease the process of check-in, Jet Airways has introduced "check-in while walk-in" (Roving Check-in agent) at Mumbai whereby a guest can be checked-in by the agent with the help of a hand held interface device and a hip printer.
The Roving Agent is like a check-in counter on the move. This will help guests as they can now bypass long queues. The mobile agent can quickly access and verify the travel reservation details of the guest, complete check-in functions and generate a boarding pass, either Première or Economy, and book them on their choice of seats.
"Check-in while walk in" will allow the agent to handle a single guest with eTicket or coupon ticket, a single guest with same day return flight with or without return boarding pass, two guests with the same or different surnames, reissue of boarding pass in case it is lost or not printed properly.
Guest with baggage has to be redirected to counter, however, boarding pass can be issued and the baggage can be added at the counter.
This facility is available for domestic flights at: Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Goa and Pune.
If you have a confirmed ticket and will be traveling with only hand baggage, bid adieu to long queues at the airport. Jet Airways now brings Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore and Mumbai airports closer to you.
Guests traveling with hand baggage and a confirmed ticket need not report at the airport hours before their flight departure. All you need to do is to drop in at our conveniently located city offices and check-in as early as 24 hours prior to your flight departure. City Check-in facility will not be available 2 hours before the departure. Our staff at the special City Check-in counters will hand over your boarding pass and hand baggage tags.
Please ensure you report at the airport at least 30 minutes (Domestic flights) and 60 minutes (International flights) prior to the scheduled departure time. Then, proceed to the security lounge at the airport and get ready to board your flight.
Guests traveling on Check fares or any discounted fare ticket where photo identification card is mandatory will not be allowed to avail the city check-in facility. However, all JetPrivilege members traveling on check fares or any other discounted fare types will be allowed to city check-in provided the JetPrivilege card and photo identification card are produced.
Traveling somewhere and getting back the same day? Get checked-in just once and save yourself the trouble of going through the check-in process twice.
You can get your boarding pass for the return flight at the first point of check-in. For example, if you fly Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai the same day, you can get your boarding pass for your return flight at Mumbai.
You can also have your return or onward boarding pass issued if you are returning the next day or travelling onward the next day within 24 hours of departure. (This is subject to the guest having no baggage for the return or onward sector.) This service is available only when both the origin and return stations are computerised.
Please note that return check-in for international sectors is not permitted. Onward through check-in will be done from domestic to international and international to domestic for connecting flights.
Guests can also get their return or onward boarding passes issued for travel held on another airline but returning on Jet Airways. This is subject to the guest having no baggage for the return or onward sector and this facility is only available when both the origin and return stations are computerised.
As a customer of Jet Airways, you can avail of the 'Through Check-in' facility if you fly within India, or if you have a connecting flight into, or out of the country. This means at the first check-in point, your luggage will be checked in and pre-labeled.
