Cabin Baggage
Weight Concept : Maximum dimensions of per bag (H + W + L): 115 cm (45 inches)
Piece Concept : The Government of India regulations permits only one piece of cabin baggage on board. The dimensions of which should not exceed 115 linear cms and weight should not exceed 7 kgs.
Baggage Dimensions for Boeing and Airbus aircraft:

Boeing / ATR : 55 cms X 35 cms X 25 cms
Baggage Dimensions for ATR aircraft:

ATR : 50 cms X 45 cms X 20 cms
Guests are permitted to carry one laptop over and above one piece of hand luggage as cabin baggage.
Guests traveling on flights originating from Jammu, Srinagar and Leh stations will not be allowed to carry any hand baggage.
Contours are available at all airports to check the dimensions. If it exceeds these specifications, you will be requested to check your bag into the baggage hold. Hand baggage is accepted in the cabin subject to availability of space in the Over Head Bin. Restricted stowage space is also available under the front seat. In the event of no space being available in the aircraft to stow hand baggage, it will be necessary to remove and load the same in the baggage hold as per safety regulations.
Cabin Baggage Allowance
Guests are permitted to carry one piece not exceeding 7 kgs and 115 linear cms (45 inches). On our international routes, for First Class and Première, an additional non rigid framed garmet bag or a laptop is allowed. For departures out of London, only 1 piece is allowed.
Items not permitted in hand baggage
Gels, Alcohol, Liquids, Creams, Lotions, Sharp Articles etc
Guests arriving at Delhi and Mumbai from an international flight and then in transit to another flight (International or Domestic) will not be permitted to carry liquids more than 100ml in their cabin baggage when going through security at these airports.

Note:
- Infant with a seat can avail the same free baggage allowance as applicable to adult guest
- Unless and otherwise specified in the fare rule, the 2 piece baggage allowance will apply on all domestic India fares for travel to/from USA/Canada subject to providing proof of such travel, failing which excess baggage charges will be applicable.
- Excess baggage charges per kg. will be calculated at the rate of 1.5% of the Adult Economy class normal (Y2) adult fare.
- Jet Airways will not accept any single piece of baggage weighing more then 32 kgs.
- Free Baggage Allowance is applicable only on sectors operated by Jet Airways. Any baggage over the free checked allowance will be charged as excess baggage
International Travel

Baggage Allowance for Students
Jet Airways is offering students travelling ex- Kathmandu / Dhaka / Colombo to United Kingdom an additional allowance weighing up to 23kgs in addition to the normal baggage allowance on verification of the student visa at the airport.
The student baggage allowance is valid on Jet Airways international flights and connecting Jet Airways domestic flights up to the Jet Airways gateway points.
This student baggage allowance is valid for ticketing and outbound travel with immediate effect until 31st October, 2009 and not combinable with any other allowances.
Baggage Allowance for Students (Jet Airways flights to Asia, Europe, UK, Canada & USA)
With effect 01st June, 2009 Jet Airways will offer students travelling ex-India to USA/ Canada an additional piece of baggage weighing up to 23kgs in addition to the normal baggage allowance till 31October 2009.
Students travelling to Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur) will get an additional baggage allowance of 10 kgs valid on Jet Airways services only till 31October 2009.
The student baggage allowance for students travelling ex-India to UK/Europe with effect 01st June, 2009 will be changed to totally 50 kgs ( i.e. the Normal FBA of 28 kgs plus additional baggage of 22 kgs) till 31October 2009.
The student baggage allowance is valid on Jet Airways international flights and connecting Jet Airways domestic flights up to the Jet Airways gateway
points.
AMERICAN AIRLINES
Jet Airways will allow 1 extra piece of 23kgs for students travelling on oneway / return tickets from India to North America. This is applicable only on Jet Airways fares wherein Jet Airways is the operating carrier on the transatlantic segment and American Airlines is the operating carrier on the USA domestic sector.
Eligibility criteria: Applicable only for students against valid student visa/ I-20.
BRUSSELS AIRLINES
Jet Airways will allow total baggage allowance on through (oneway/return fares) on SN operated sectors to UK/Europe is 50kgs.
Please note this special baggage allowance is not applicable on Brussels - Paris, Charles de gaulle-Brussels flights.
Eligibility criteria: Only for Students (with presentation of valid student visa/ ID card & provided the applicable baggage allowance is mentioned on the ticket)
QANTAS AIRWAYS
Jet Airways allows the students to carry 45 kgs of baggage on oneway journeys from India to Australia (only on Codeshare flights). Qantas Airways will honor this special allowance only if the allowance is stated on the Jet Airways document / ticket for travel on the 9W/9W* flight number(codeshare flights).
Our baggage allowance for all oneway journeys from India to Australia on non codeshare flights will continue to be 40 kgs.
Eligibility criteria: Only for Students (with presentation of valid student visa / ID card & provided the applicable baggage allowance is mentioned on the ticket)
Codeshare routes: Delhi - Sydney / Brisbane / Perth / Melbourne / Adelaide & Mumbai - Perth (valid only on flights booked on Jet Airways from India to Australia)
Baggage Allowance for Seamen
In order to benefit sailors/ seamen's, we allow seamen's traveling to join duty or returning home for duty to carry additional 20 kgs of baggage. This free baggage allowance will be in addition to the normal free baggage allowance as mentioned above.
Eligibility: To avail this baggage allowance the ticket should be issued as a seamen discounted ticket based on normal fare with the seamen discount code mentioned on the ticket and should hold a valid CDC.
Baggage Allowance for passengers travelling on migrant visas
Passengers traveling on migrant visas will be permitted to carry a maximum of 40 Kilos as free baggage allowance, where the weight concept is applicable on Jet Airways international flights and on the connecting Jet Airways domestic flights. The migrant visa baggage allowance can be availed only on the migrant visa holder's first outbound journey and not on subsequent trips.
The 40 kgs migrant visa baggage allowance can also be extended to 'dependents' of the migrant i.e. spouse and children who may either accompany the migrant or travel subsequently for their first outbound journey after issuance of the 'said' visa.
