Advance Passenger Information System

Guests travelling to the USA or Canada are required to provide Advance Passenger Information (API).

United States of America

As per the US Customs and Border protection this information is mandatory for guests on flights to and from USA. (Except US Citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR), in-transit guests* or crew members.) *Guests who are not US citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents and who are traveling onwards to another country within 8 hours of arrival into the US are considered in-transit guests.

The information required at the time of reservations and / or ticketing includes:

  • Family Name (as on passport)
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport Number
  • Passport Country
  • Expiry Date of Passport
  • Country of Residence
  • Address while in U.S.A. (if you are not a U.S. passport holder or a landed U.S. resident). The address must include the complete Street Name, City, State and Zip Code
  • *Guests departing USA do not need to provide this information.


    Canada

    The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), mandates API to be transmitted for guests travelling on flights to Canada.

    The information required at the time of reservations and / or ticketing includes:

    • First and Last Name (as on passport)
    • Family Name (as on passport)
    • Gender
    • Date of Birth
    • Nationality
    • Passport Number
    • Passport Country
    • Expiry Date of Passport
    • Country of Residence

    If the information is not provided at the time of booking, a reminder will be sent 72 hours prior to flight departure. For further information please read the FAQ's.


    India

    The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has mandated APIS information to be transmitted for flights into India. APIS transmission will be applicable on the international flights to India. The information required includes:

    • First and Last Name (as on passport)
    • Family Name (as on passport)
    • Gender
    • Date of Birth
    • Nationality
    • Passport Number
    • Passport Country
    • Expiry Date of Passport
    • Country of Residence

    Qatar

    The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) requires airlines to transmit Advance Passenger Processing (APP) prior to departure, for all guests, including infants, travelling to / from or transiting the State of Qatar. Guests who do not provide correct details to submit APP or who receive an APP response from the Qatar Government directing the airline not to board them will not be allowed to travel due to violation of Government regulations. The information required includes:

    • First and Last Name (as on passport)
    • Family Name (as on passport)
    • Gender
    • Date of Birth
    • Nationality
    • Passport Number
    • Passport Country
    • Expiry Date of Passport
    • Country of Residence

    Bangladesh

    The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh requires API (Advance Passenger Information) details to be transmitted for guests travelling to Bangladesh on international flights.

    The information required includes:

    • Last name and First Name (as on passport)
    • Passport number
    • Nationality
    • Date of Birth

    Sri Lanka

    The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka requires airlines to transmit Advance Passenger Information (API) for all guests prior to departure, arrival and on transiting Sri Lanka.

    The information required includes

    • Passport number
    • Nationality
    • Date of birth
    • Gender
    • Flight Number
