Dangerous Goods are articles or substances capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment or which are classified according to regulations. Dangerous articles such as those listed below must not be carried on-board or packed in your baggage. Some of these articles can be transported as cargo, provided they are packed in accordance with the prevailing international and national regulations.

Restricted materials
  • Explosives, ammunition (including blank cartridges, pistol caps), detonators/fuses, fireworks and flares.
  • Compressed Gases (Deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as butane, oxygen, nitrogen, fire extinguishers, tear gas devices, aqualung cylinders.
  • Flammable Liquids and Solids such as lighter fuel, matches, paints, varnishes, thinners, adhesives, petrol, kerosene, diesel.
  • Oxidising materials such as bleaching powder, peroxides, and fertilizers.
  • Poisonous and infectious substances such as insecticides, pesticides, weed-killers, live virus samples, bacterial cultures, medical/clinical waste, patient or animal specimens.
  • Radioactive materials, corrosives such as acids, alkalis, mercury, liquid dyes and wet cell batteries.
  • Briefcases and attached cases with installed alarm devices.
  • Disabling devices such as mace or pepper spray.
  • Other dangerous articles such as magnetized materials, offensive or irritating materials.

A battery-powered wheelchair or mobility device, dry ice, Spare Lithium batteries (Li-ion/Lithium metal), ammunition, battery-powered heat producing articles such as a soldering iron or underwater diving lamps/torches, gas cylinders such as oxygen or carbon dioxide or life-jackets containing gas cylinders/cartridges, avalanche rescue backpacks, mercury barometers or thermometers for weather, packaging containing refrigerated liquid nitrogen, camping stoves or fuel containers, chemical agent monitoring equipment.
