Expectant Mothers

Expectant Mothers on our Domestic Sectors:

Expectant Mothers, till the end of 35 weeks of pregnancy may be permitted to fly on Jet Airways flights provided there are no prior complications. Certificate from treating obstetrician required stating number of weeks the pregnancy has advanced and that the passenger is fit to travel by air.

Expectant mothers between the 36th week till 38th week of pregnancy may be permitted to fly on Jet Airways provided the expectant mother has a 'Fitness to Fly' certificate from her treating obstetrician and she is accompanied by at least an MBBS doctor.

Cases of uncomplicated multiple pregnancy may be accepted up to the end of the 32nd week. Medical clearance is required in all cases and has to be accompanied by a doctor in selected cases.

Post delivery, the mother is permitted on Jet Airways flights along with her baby only after 7 days from the date of delivery of the baby.
Following a normal delivery, in the absence of any complications the mother may be permitted to fly 48 hours after delivery provided she has a 'Fitness to Fly' certificate from her treating obstetrician.
However, in an exigency wherein life saving treatment is mandatory for the infant the mother may be permitted to fly with the new born provided the newborn is certified fit to fly by the concerned pediatrician and is accompanied by at least an MBBS doctor. Whilst making a booking,also advise the reservations department about your travel.

Expectant Mothers on our International Sectors:

In cases of uncomplicated single pregnancy, medical clearance is required from the start of 29th week. Flying is not permitted beyond 35 weeks. Cases of multiple pregnancy / complicated single pregnancy are accepted only till the end of the 32nd week, provided they have medical clearance from the treating obstetrician and are accompanied by an MBBS doctor.
Expectant Mothers till 28 weeks of pregnancy may be permitted to fly on Jet Airways provided there are no prior complications.
In cases of uncomplicated single pregnancy, medical clearance is required for expectant mothers between the 29th to the 35th week of pregnancy. They can travel provided they have with them the treating doctors fitness certificate with Due Date mentioned.
For our International sectors, expectant mothers cannot fly after the 35th week of pregnancy.
In case of a multiple pregnancy or a complicated single pregnancy, passengers will be accepted only till the end of the 32nd week, provided they have medical clearances from the treating obstetrician and are accompanied by an MBBS doctor. All the relevant documents need to be submitted to the Jet Airways Medical Department.
