Summer Festivals While staying in Brussels or in the countryside, don't miss the many festivals we have to offer. Music lovers will enjoy the free Brosella Folk & Jazz Festival (July 10 & 11), the Dour festival, 4 days of music with 200 groups (July 15-18), Couleur Cafe, multicultural music festival (June 25-27), the Summer Festival with more than 280 free concerts in Brussels (August 13-22) or the Festival of Wallonia, six festivals to discover the architectural and musical heritage of Wallonia (June 13 to October 13). Waterloo Waterloo, less than 30 minutes south of Brussels, will celebrate the 195th Anniversary of Napoleon's defeat with a weekend filled with activities June 18-20, 2010. The weekend will begin with an hour-long Battle of Waterloo-inspired firework and light spectacle at 10:00PM on Friday, June 18. On Saturday, visitors will have the opportunity to travel into the heart of the Napoleonic bivouacs, to discover the everyday life of a typical soldier in the imperial army. The weekend will conclude with a reenactment of the battle with over 3,000 soldiers, with Napoleon often being played by an American actor, to give the full effect of the scale of the battle and its place in European history. Ideally located in Waterloo, the Martin's Grand Hotel offers rooms from 90 €. Close by, the Château du Lac in Genval, a luxury hotel set on the banks of the beautiful Lake Genval, has starting price at 100 €.
