Jet Airways introduces yet another self service check-in facility, SMS Check-in, a first in Indian Aviation to make passenger travel more comfortable and convenient.
The service is currently available for our JetPrivilege members carrying a valid e-ticket. Jet Airways recognises that our JP passengers are pressed for time and this service will enable them to check-in with a single SMS and instantly avail a confirmed seat number on their mobile.
To check-in, simply SMS:
JetC < PNR > < JetPrivilege no. > to 6388
For example: JetC ABCDEF 123456789 to 6388
In a few seconds, post all validations; you will receive an SMS with the assigned seat number. To collect your boarding pass please make sure you arrive at the airport at least 30 minutes prior to flight departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes prior for international flights.
- If you have provided your seat preference (window/aisle) in your JetPrivilege profile on our website, your preferred seat would be allocated to you as per availability. If you have pre-reserved a seat at the time of booking , the same would be assigned to you.
- If the preferred seat is unavailable, seats are assigned as per availability using a pre-defined logic.
- SMS check-in allows only the JetPrivilege member sending the SMS to check-in. If there are more JetPrivilege members in a single PNR, they will have to send a seperate SMS with their respective JetPrivilege numbers to check-in.
- You can check-in for all segments on a given day with a single SMS. If you have booked to travel on the next day, you would need to send an SMS again.
SMS check-in pre-requisites:
- Available for JetPrivilege members with a confirmed, valid e-ticket.
- Available for mobile users in India only.
- JetPrivilege members need to have mobile numbers updated in the JetPrivilege membership profile.
- Anytime between 60 minutes and 48 hours prior to flight departure (please see table below for conditions).
- For all domestic and international flights departing from airports in India that are online with our check-in system.
SMS check-in is available for passengers holding a confirmed e-ticket as follows:

SMS check-in is currently restricted and not available for:
- Passengers with waitlisted or open bookings.
- Passengers with special service requests such as wheelchairs, extra seats, visual and hearing impairment, unaccompanied minors, pets in hold or stretcher cases.
- Staff travel, interline travel, industry discount, upgrade vouchers and agents discount tickets.
All boarding and check-in timelines currently followed at the airport will be applicable for SMS check-in as well.
