Reservations:

Reservations / Bookings
For your booking, we recommend that you make an early reservation through our website jetairways.com, any Jet Airways Reservation ticketing offices, or our authorised GSA's or Travel Agents in India and around the world.

We now also offer the advance seat reservation facility in Economy Class, for passengers with confirmed tickets travelling on the routes between India and London Heathrow, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Brussels and Newark. This facility is available upto 48 hours prior to the departure of the flight. Please note that the first two rows in Economy Class, bassinet and emergency row seats, as well as the seats reserved for wheelchair passengers are excluded from this facility.

 When you make a reservation, please note the following:

Ticketing Time Limit
Please ensure that you have your ticket issued before the expiry of your ticketing time limit/ deadline. Otherwise, your booking will be automatically cancelled. This is a procedure followed worldwide by all airlines. Your reservation agent will advise you of your time limit at the time of reservation.

The new time limit procedures will apply in case of the following scenarios–
E.g.1 – Passenger holding a ticket for sector Nagpur – Singapore via Mumbai using the point to point fare.
E.g.2 – Passenger holding a ticket on international sector Mumbai – Singapore.

The table below gives detailed information on the applicable time limit procedures for all the bookings which are done in India.

Bookings Done Time limit given will be
Beyond 60 days before departure 21 days from creation of PNR
Within 59-21 days before departure 7 days from creation of PNR
Within 20-07 days before departure 72 hours from creation of PNR
Within 06 days – 49 hours before departure 24 hours from creation of PNR
Within 48 hours before departure Instant ticketing is required

The following time limits will apply for all bookings which are done outside India.

Bookings Done Time limit given will be
Beyond 31 days before departure 14 days from creation of PNR
Within 30-15 days before departure 7 days from creation of PNR
Within 14-07 days before departure 72 hours from creation of PNR
Within 06 days – 49 hours before departure 24 hours from creation of PNR
Within 48 hours before departure Instant ticketing is required

The following time limits will apply for Jet Privilege Award tickets.

Bookings Done Time limit given will be
More than 15 days before departure 7 days from creation of PNR
Within 14 days upto 72 hrs before departure 48 hours from creation of PNR
Within 72 hrs before departure 24 hours from creation of PNR

All Revenue Pre-paid Ticket Advise (PTA) bookings will have a time limit of 4 hrs before departure.

In case of  Domestic PNR with PTA - The PNRs should be updated  with - complete PTA details and the time limit should be advised upto 02 - hrs  prior to departure

Please note:

  • The bookings on time limits will be cancelled automatically if the tickets are not issued and the ticket number are not mentioned on the Booking Reference (PNR).
  • If the booking has been cancelled due to expired time limit, a new booking (PNR) needs to be created. The bookings will not be reinstated on the same PNR.
  • If the itineraries have been reinstated on PNRs that have been cancelled due to expired time limit, bookings will be cancelled without any prior notice.

Booking Reference Number / Passenger Name Record (PNR)
You will need your booking reference number (PNR) every time you get in touch with our reservations or ticketing staff. Our Reservation / Ticketing Agent will need your PNR if you need to change your travel plan.

Changing Reservations
You can call our reservation office to change your travel itinerary irrespective if the ticket is purchased or not.

Once the ticket has been issued, you can change your reservation by contacting our reservation offices or ticketing counters. This is also possible even if the ticket is purchased from a travel agent.

Always check for the conditions on your ticket like ticket validity, restriction to travel on a specific flight / period, cancellation fees conditions, etc before purchasing your ticket.

In case you have made a change in your travel itinerary, you are advised to get your ticket stickered / revalidated from your travel agent or Jet Airways ticketing counters so that your ticket will reflect your latest flight itinerary

Ticketing:
Jet Airways ticket counters are conveniently located at all destinations within our network, both in the city and at the airport. We also have a computerized ticketing facility at most stations. Apart from the facility of issuing your tickets at the above offices, you can also issue tickets from our authorized GSA's across the world and from your Travel Agents.

Note: Passengers holding open tickets (issued across Jet Airways counters/travel agent) should contact nearest Jet Airways office/travel agent for endorsing the tickets for travel. Passengers cannot make bookings on our website to use their existing open tickets. 

Cancellation / Refund / Reissuance of tickets

Domestic Sector Tickets:
a. Any change to a confirmed ticket issued on INR fare – including cancellation, postponement, change of itinerary – must be done at least one hour before a flight. When a ticket is reissued from a higher to a lower fare, a re-issuance charge is levied, irrespective of whether there is any change in sector/class of travel.

b. In case you are holding an e-ticket and wish to cancel, postpone or change your itinerary, you are required to report to our ticketing counters for the same. JetPrivilege members can enjoy the facility of cancelling or changing their e-tickets online, through the Manage Booking facility.

c. Subject to the ticketing time limit, if the same is not met, a 50% cancellation charge on the basic fare will be applicable. A documentation charge is levied when a confirmed ticket is processed for refund.

d. Cancellation charges do not apply to domestic tickets where U.S. Dollar normal fares are applicable.

e. Refunds will be processed subject to refund penalties as per fare rules and will be paid as per the original currency of payment, country of payment and form of payment.

Refunds are subject to refund penalties as per the Fare Rules. We will refund the value of tickets purchased by you from our offices or airport ticketing counters directly to you:

  • If the ticket has been paid for in cash, we will refund the amount in cash; and
  • If the ticket has been paid for by credit card, the proceeds will be credited to the respective credit cards.

f. Tickets issued outside India will be refunded in the country where the ticket has been purchased.

g. The refund of a ticket issued by a Travel Agent, must be processed through the issuing Travel Agent.

h. Please note that certain fares may have conditions which limit or exclude your right to get a refund. For complete details, please refer to the terms and conditions of that special fare or contact your nearest Jet Airways ticketing office or 24 hours reservation centre or your travel agent.

We reserve the right to make a refund only to the person named in the ticket or to the person who originally paid for the ticket, and to refuse a refund if any application for such refund is made later than 365 days after the expiry date of the ticket.

International Sector Tickets:
a. Tickets for international travel are subject to cancellation charges These are specific for a particular sector. Related details are available at our offices, airport ticket counters, on our website and from our authorised travel agents.

Tickets issued on Jetairways.com:
a. Refund facility is open only for bookings done on or later than February 12, 2007.

b. The option for cancellation & refund is currently available only for sectors booked for travel within India. Should any of the sectors in your booking contain an international destination, the cancellation option will not be available online. 

c. The retrieved itinerary will display only the unutilised segments in your booking. If the status of your booking is either checked-in, used or refunded, the same will not be displayed.

d. Once we receive your refund request, we will process the refund within 07 working days.

e. Should there be any cancellation / refund fees, we will deduct the relevant amount and the balance will be refunded to the same credit card used to purchase the original itinerary.
