Q1: What happens now that I have lost my baggage?
A: Once your details have been entered into our world-wide baggage tracing system, the search for your bag is underway.
 
Q2: How did my baggage go astray?
A: The baggage sorting system is complex and involves both human and mechanical interaction. Every effort is made to minimize errors and the majority of mishandled bags are returned safely within a short period.
 
Q3: How will you keep me updated?
A: We will endeavour to contact you on a regular basis. If you are traveling, please ensure we have your most up to date contact details.

Please use our Baggage Tracer to check the status of your baggage. We will make all arrangements to deliever your baggage to your local address when it arrives.
 
Q4: How will I manage in the meantime?
A: If you are away from your home town, you may be entitled to be reimbursed for some emergency expenses, should your baggage not be returned to you within 24 hours. Please check with our Baggage Services staff for information on this entitlement, which is limited.
 
Q5: What document should I keep?
A: • Keep the copy of the mishandled baggage report that you were given.
• Please retain receipts for any emergency or replacement items that you require, in order to claim insurance or emergency expenses if they apply.
• Retain your original flight ticket or Electronic Ticket reference, baggage receipts and excess baggage ticket (if applicable).
 
Q6: Will you deliver my bags to me?
A: Yes, we will. We will contact you as soon as your baggage has been located and will, subject to local customs and quarantine regulations, arrange a convenient time for delivery.
 
Q7: What happens if my bag is still not located?
A: We will continue to maintain contact with you, However if your bag has not been located within 7 days we will arrange for a questionnaire to be sent out to you. The detailed inventory on this form will allow us to widen our search. In the unlikely event that your baggage is not located within 15 days we will begin to process a claim, while the search still continues.
