Q1: What is booking on IVR?
A: Booking on IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is a secure transaction platform which allows you to book and pay for your Jet Airways tickets through a single call at our Call Centre. Currently, the service is available for bookings made in India and US.
 
Q2: How can I Book on IVR?
A: Please follow the steps below to book on IVR:
a. Call the call centre to book your ticket
b. You would be directed to a call centre agent
c. Please provide your itinerary details to the call centre agent
d. Call Centre agent will create the PNR based on the itinerary and connect you to the IVR
e. You would have to feed in your credit card number, CVV and Expiry date
g. On successful card validation, an e-ticket will be created by the IVR system and a copy would be emailed to the email address provided in your booking.
 
Q3: What are the benefits of using the IVR system?
A: The benefits of using the IVR system are:
1. You can book your tickets while on the move
2. Your entire transaction is completed in a single telephone call
3. Payment through IVR ensures security of your credit card information, as the credit card information is punched in the IVR system and is not verbally informed to the Call Centre agent. The credit card details are encrypted (128 bit secure socket layer, SSL) and are masked in the PNR / reservation record and are not accessible to the call centre staff
 
Q4: How many passengers can be booked per PNR on the IVR?
A: You could make a booking for up to 9 passengers per PNR on the IVR
 
Q5: How safe is it to give my Credit card number on the IVR?
A: With the IVR system, your credit card number is punched through the keypad on your phone and not provided verbally to the Call Centre agent. Your credit card details are encrypted and are masked in the PNR / reservation record and not accessible to the call centre staff
The entire process is fully automated and ensures security of your card information
 
Q6: Are Debit cards accepted for bookings on IVR?
A: No. Currently we accept only Credit cards for bookings on IVR.
 
Q7: Which credit card types are accepted for booking on IVR?
A: We accept Master, Visa, Amex, Diners and JCB credit cards for bookings on IVR.
 
Q8: Can the PNR issued by Travel agent be ticketed through IVR?
A: No. Only PNRs created at any Jet Airways counter / Call Centre will be ticketed by the IVR.
 
Q9: Can we book tickets on the IVR 24 x7?
A: Yes. You could book tickets on the IVR 24 x7
 
Q10: What is the contact number for bookings on IVR?
A: To book tickets on the IVR in India, you would need to dial 39893333. For non-metro stations, please add the nearest metro city code.

To book tickets on the IVR in US / Canada, you need to dial US-toll free 1-877-uflyjet i.e 1-877-835-9538
 
Q11: Upto what time can the bookings be made on IVR?
A: You can book on IVR up to 2 hours of flight departure for domestic sectors and up to 4 hours prior to flight departure for international sectors.
 
Q12: Do you need to be a JetPrivilege member for ticketing on IVR?
A: No. Booking on IVR is open for all passengers who intend to travel on Jet Airways flights
 
Q13: Can International sectors be ticketed on IVR?
A: Currently you can book tickets on IVR for sectors that are online with our ticketing system.
 
Q14: Can we book tickets for all sectors on IVR?
A: Currently you can book tickets on IVR for sectors that are online with our ticketing system and support eTickets.
 
Q15: Can tickets for Infant be issued through IVR at Call centre?
A: Yes. Infants can be booked through IVR at the Call centre.
 
Q16: Can I book on IVR using my credit card for another passenger?
A: While it is recommended to pay for your own ticket, you can pay for another passenger using your credit card. However, in such a case the passenger should carry a photocopy of both sides of the credit card used for purchase of the tickets attested by the credit card holder for verification at the Airport check-in counter. The photocopy must also carry details such as the name of the passenger, sector and the date of travel.
 
Q17: How should I cancel and refund the tickets booked on IVR?
A: For date changes of tickets booked through US / Canada IVR:
Please dial the call center number in US on 201-653-8001 and in Canada on 905-270-0538.

For cancellation of tickets booked through US / Canada IVR:
Please dial our toll free number 1-877-uflyjet i.e 1-877-835-9538.

However, in certain conditions where you may have to make additional payments or avail partial refunds you may have to visit our ticketing counter.

Your refund amount will be credited to the same credit card through which the tickets were booked. A refund receipt will also be sent to your email id
The refund amount will reflect in your next immediate statement from the Bank.
 
Q18: How can I avail refund for tickets issued by IVR?
A: You can avail refund for tickets issued by IVR by calling the Jet Airways Call Centre. Your refund amount will be credited to the same credit card through which the tickets were booked. A refund receipt will also be sent to your email id.
 
Q19: Would there be any Call Centre Agent to provide assistance during the IVR transaction?
A: Yes. The Call centre agent would be available during the call to help you till the entire ticketing transaction is completed
 
Q20: Can a copy of the e-ticket itinerary booked on IVR be collected at the airport or any of the Jet Airways ticketing outlet?
A: Yes. You can collect a copy of the e-ticket itinerary on IVR at Jet Airways office or from the Airport counter, after showing appropriate Photo Identification as a proof.
 
Q21: What documents should I carry to the Airport for security check in?
A: To enter the airport and for check-in, you must present the itinerary receipt along with a valid photo identification (Official Government issued photo identification driving license, election photo identification, Passport [for international passengers], photo credit card) and Credit card Or Copy of credit card (both sides), signed by its Credit card owner. For the security of your card, please strike out the CVV details.
 
Q22: Can I book on IVR with someone else’s credit card?
A: Yes. You can ticket on IVR with someone else’s credit card. However, in such a case you would need to carry a photocopy of both sides of the credit card used for purchase of the tickets attested by the credit card holder for verification at the airport, check-in counter. The photocopy must also carry details such as the name of the passenger, sector and the date of travel. For the security of your card, please strike out the CVV details.
