Jet Airways' JetPrivilege wins Top Honours with Seven Awards at the prestigious Freddie Awards 2007

Jet Airways wins the Coveted ‘Program of the Year’ for the Second Year consecutively. JetPrivilege, India’s largest and most recognized frequent flyer programme, won 9 Freddie Awards at the 20th Annual presentation ceremony of the Freddie Awards 2007, held in Wyndham Phoenix, USA on April 24, 2008.

JetPrivilege, which competed for Top Honours in the intensely competitive Japan, Pacific, Asia and Australia region against some of the best known airlines in the world, emerged victorious in seven categories and runner-up in two categories.  JetPrivilege bagged-in 9 Freddie Awards under all the nominated categories.

Jet Airways, Jet Privilege won these highly coveted awards for Program of the Year, Best Customer Service, Best Elite Level, Best Affinity Credit Card, Best Bonus, Best Website and Best Award. Jet Airway’s JetPrivilege received the second position in the categories of Best Member Communications and Best Award Redemption.

With this, Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege, India’s Premier International airline, is now a Freddie award winner four times in a row; and winner of ‘Program of the Year’ for the second consecutive year. Jet Airways JetPrivilege is also the only frequent flyer programme from India to win the maximum number of awards from Japan, Asia, Pacific and Australia region.

JetPrivilege scored 8.91 on a scale of 1 to 10, and 25.7% of the popular votes, followed by its nearest competitor getting just 2.95% of the popular votes in the Program of the Year category.

The Freddie Awards recognize the world's most outstanding frequent flyer programmes, and are considered to be the 'Oscars' of frequent flyer programmes across the world. Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 81 aircraft, which includes 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 8 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 54 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft and 9 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. With an average fleet age of 4.20 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleet in the world. Jet Airways operates over 380 flights daily.

Flights to 60 destinations span the length and breadth of India and beyond, including New York (both JFK and Newark) Toronto, Brussels, London (Heathrow), Hong Kong Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha and Abu Dhabi. The airline plans to extend its international operations to other cities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in phases with the introduction of additional wide-body aircraft into its fleet.
