New General Manager appointed for UK & Ireland

Jet Airways is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Duncan Gambrill as General Manager for United Kingdom and Ireland, based at the Airline’s corporate office in London.

Mr. Gambrill brings to the company 13 years of Travel Industry experience with agency, airline and corporate clients.  He commenced his career with British Midland Airways where he held a number of commercial positions primarily concentrating on the corporate sectors.  Thereafter he moved to American Express Business Travel and spent 3 years as a Senior Member of the Global Business development team.

Prior to joining Jet Airways, Mr. Gambrill was Vice President, Head of Travel for EMEA at JP Morgan, based in London where he was responsible for the team across 23 markets in the region and was the key contact for all travel suppliers providing services to the bank.

Mr. Gambrill is a British National, with an MBA from Cass Business School and
a BA (Hons) degree in History from the University of London.

Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 81 aircraft, which includes 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 8 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 54 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft and 9 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. With an average fleet age of 4.20 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleet in the world. Jet Airways operates over 380 flights daily.

Flights to 60 destinations span the length and breadth of India and beyond, including New York (both JFK and Newark) Toronto, Brussels, London (Heathrow), Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Colombo, Bangkok, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat and Doha. The airline plans to extend its international operations to other cities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia in phases with the introduction of additional wide-body aircraft into its fleet.
