Jet Airways Displays Its Brand New Boeing 777-300ER
18 Jun 2007
Jet Airways will be on full display at the Paris Air Show beginning today June 18, 2007 with the newly acquired Boeing 777 in the new livery.

Displaying its new livery, Jet Airways’ recently acquired Boeing 777-300ER with modern seats in First Class, Premiere and Economy Class arrived Saturday June 16, in Le Bourget, France, to be on show at the 47th Paris Air Show.

Acquired as a part of its aggressive growth strategy, this aircraft is part of the firm order for 10 such aircraft from Boeing Commercial Airplane Company. The aircraft in its brand new livery with staff attired in exquisitely designed new uniforms, will be on display near the Boeing Chalet starting Monday 18th June 2007, through to the 22nd June 2007. Chairman Naresh Goyal along with a team of senior management will be present at the venue.

On August 5, 2007 Jet Airways will become the first airline operating scheduled air services from India to the United States of America and vice-versa via Brussels with a Boeing 777. Jet Airways will be deploying the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft on its Mumbai-Newark daily services via Brussels, its newly created European hub.

As the airline takes deliveries of the additional B777 aircraft on order, Jet Airways will launch daily services from Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad in India, to New York, Chicago, Toronto and Los Angeles via its Brussels hub. Daily Services to San Francisco via Shanghai are also planned with the B777 fleet from Winter 2007.

The new Jet Airways Boeing B777 is configured in three classes, eight First Class, thirty Première and two hundred and seventy four Economy seats and currently operates on the Mumbai-London route. On offer for the first time is Jet Airways’ First Class service and an entirely new First Class suite has been created onboard. Each First Class suite provides over 26sq ft of usable space and features dual sliding doors that create complete privacy.

Each of the eight First Class suites on the Boeing 777 aircraft features the world’s longest First Class bed at 83 inches, massive 23 inch flat screen monitor and carefully designed storage areas that include a personal hanging wardrobe, dual credenza and under ottoman stowage. This is also designed to allow dining for two with a VIP/Business Jet style table, multiple LED lighting options, variable lumbar support and an eight point massage system.

The new Première lie flat beds on this aircraft represent the absolute latest in airline seat technology. Featuring a 73” bed length, that electronically converts to an enormous 180 degree flat bed with lumbar support and massage systems, Premiere passengers can rest in unequalled comfort. The Premiere seat provides an oversized table, laptop power, telephony, SMS, Email and live text news to deliver a flying office for those Premiere passengers wanting to work.

Jet Airways is the first airline in the world to install a newly developed economy seat with a seat pitch of 32” on Boeing 777. It has been designed using the science of advanced ergonomics to create arguably the most comfortable economy seat in the sky.

The new state-of-art eX2 system developed by Panasonic, delivers an unparalleled and unique range of In-Flight Entertainment options to Jet Airways passengers, in each of the three classes of service.
