Himesh Reshammiya directed the music and also stars in the movie as a man haunted by a melody from a past life of pain and betrayal that he had never lived. It brilliantly mixes Indian classical sounds and instruments with modern dance tracks with Western influence.
Singh is Kinng
Rap from Snoop Dogg and hip-hop from RDB and Akshay Kumar, combine with Punjabi beats in a thumping Bollywood explosion of sound from the ever-versatile Pritam. As a result the sole ballad track on the album 'Tere ore' stands out in contrast with beautiful singing from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and the shining voice of Shreya Ghoshal.

Lakshmi Shankar is a highly respected exponent of North Indian khyal and light-classical singing who trained for many years under Ustad Abdul Rehman Khan and also later with Pandit Ravi Shankar. Here she is accompanied by the sarangi master Pandit Ramesh Mishra, who can be appreciated during the several 'solo' breaks in the 'Thumri' track, and a new young UK-based tabla player Partha Sarathi Mukherjee.

Recorded live during a 1997 UK tour this album reunites John McLaughlin, the English jazz guitarist, Zakir Hussain, the Indian tabla player, and TH 'Vikku' Vinayakram, the Indian percussionist, who toured during the period 1975-1977 as the group Shakti, combining Indian music with jazz elements. Also playing in this reunion is Hariprasad Chaurasia, player of the bansuri, the North Indian bamboo flute.

Eason Chan is a multi-award winning singer-songwriter popular throughout Hongkong, Taiwan and mainland China.
