CONCESSIONAL FARES - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
STUDENT CONCESSION - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: Sold and ticketed only in India.
Eligibility: A student means a person who, at the time of commencement of travel, has reached his/her 12th but not the 26th birthday and enrolled for a full time course of at least one Academic year, at a government recognized Educational Establishment.
The student should not be employed either full time or part time or have regular income from any source except scholarships/ Stipends granted to them by Government or Educational Establishments
Student can avail of student concession for travel in Economy class on domestic sectors. Travel is permitted only between his Home Town and place of study.
Exception: Student concession permitted on flight operating from points in North East to Kolkata and vice versa when the sectors form a part of journey permitted from place of study to home town or vice versa.
Note: If Jet Airways does not operate to either hometown or place of study; the student discount will be applicable for travel to/from the nearest airport from where Jet Airways operates flight.
Definitions:
1) Home Town - For a purpose of grant of student discount , home town is clarified as Place of residence of the parent or guardian of the student as furnished by the student at his / her educational establishment and as certified by its principal.
2) Guardian - Means legal guardian of a student or person acting in lieu of parents in the event of death or legal incapacity of parents.
3) Educational Establishments - A recognized educational establishment means, a School, College or University offering full time educational, vocational, professional or technical courses of at least one academic year [a period of 12 consecutive months including whatever interruptions for vacations are normally granted by the educational establishment at which the student is enrolled] and is recognized/ aided by Central / State Government and/or affiliated to any of the Universities / Boards and shall not include a Commercial office, Industrial or Military Establishment or a hospital at which the student is serving as an apprentice unless such apprenticeship is a part of the curriculum of an educational establishment at which the student is enrolled.
The Educational Institutions must be recognized / aided by and / or affiliated to any of the following -
1) Central / State Government Educational Boards.
2) University
3) All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE]
4) Institutes recognized by Union / State Ministry.
5) Students of Indian institute of Chartered Accountants and Institute of Company Secretaries of India who are drawing a stipend of not more than Rs 350 per month.
6) National School of Drama
7) Gentlemen / Lady Cadets of National Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy.
8) Students / Researchers of Shri Aurobindo International Institute, Auroville Pondicherry
9) India Gandhi Rashtriya Uddan Academy [Students Discount to the Trainee Pilots of this Academy will be offered only from the Airport nearest to the academy. The nearest Airport is only Lucknow].
Application: Fare can be applied on all types of journeys in Economy Class on Domestic Sectors.
Note: Fare only apply if purchased before departure. If passenger wishes to avail this fare, ensure that tickets are reissued before departure. After departure post facto refund is not permitted.
Period of Application: Unless and otherwise specified, No restriction
Ticket issuance: Tickets are issued only on Jet Airways documents or any neutral document validated on Jet Airways. Ticketing on other airline document is not permitted.
Class of travel: In Economy, the class of travel will be "S".
Children & Infant Discount: Not permitted
Minimum Stay: No restriction
Maximum Stay: Unless and otherwise specified, one year from the date of issue of the ticket.
Stopover: Stopovers are not permitted for intermediate ticketed points.
Endorsement Restriction: Valid on Jet Airways only.
Penalties:
A) Cancellation: As per ticket status at the time it is presented for cancellation
1) NIL cancellation charges when Open, Request tickets are presented for cancellation.
2) NIL cancellation charges when confirmed ticket are presented for cancellation more then one hour before scheduled time of departure.
3) 25% on basic fare of the fare component will be charged as cancellation charges when confirmed ticket is presented for cancellation less then one hour before schedule time of departure or after the flight departure.
4) NIL Cancellation charges if passenger cancels his booking due to flight re-schedule of more than 01 hr.
Note: In order to avoid confusion on cancellation charges, if passenger / Travel agents cancels booking on phone, they should ensure that such tickets are endorsed within 24 of the flight departure. Failing which such tickets will attract 25% cancellation.
B) Refund: The ticket can be refunded as per applicable charges. Tickets issued in conjunction are considered as one document.
Exception: This charge is not applicable on request or open dated tickets which were not holding confirmed status at any point of time.
C). Reissue: Students who wish to further undertake journey after completing their travel on the student discount ticket, will be permitted to travel within a period of 03 months from the date of completion of original journey against the original “Student concession” form.
In such cases ticket will be issued after the ticketing staff is satisfied with regards to the academic year and the age of the student at the time of re-commencement of journey and the applicable condition with regards to travel between home town and place of study.
Combination & Construction: Fare cannot be combined with any other fare type. Domestic INR fares are not combinable with USD / International fares.
Extension of validity: Permitted only on medical grounds. Ticket validity can be extended before its expiry for another three months measured from the date of fitness mentioned on the certificate.
Free Baggage Allowance: Economy - Adult - 25kg
Excess Baggage Charges: 1.1% of the Normal Economy class basic fare.
PTA: Permitted only within India / Nepal at a charge.
Note: For unticketed PTA's collect INR 100 as recall charges provided the fare class does not attract any cancellation charges.
Documentation:
A) Student concession form must be completed and attested by the head of the educational establishment. The form will be valid for issuance of tickets for three months from the date of attestation
B) The form will be signed and stamped by the head of the educational establishment across the student’s photograph.
C) Jet Airways office will verify the completed and attested form. In case of station where Jet Airways does not have an office, approved travel agents are authorized to issue tickets without verification by the Jet Airways office nearest to the Educational Establishment.
Passenger ID: Not required.

SENIOR CITIZEN CONCESSION (INR FARE) FOR DOMESTIC TRAVEL - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: Sold and ticketed only in India
Eligibility: Passenger must be over 65 years of age at the time of commencement of journey, irrespective of the gender status.
Note: Fare only applies if purchased before departure. If a passenger wishes to avail this fare, ensure that tickets are reissued before departure. After departure post facto refund is not permitted.
Application: Senior citizen concession fares can be applied on one way or return journeys.
Period of Application: Unless and otherwise specified, No restriction
Ticket issuance: Tickets are issued only on Jet Airways documents or any neutral document validated on Jet Airways. Ticketing on other airline document is not permitted.
Booking Class: Premiere - I Class and for Economy - S Class.
Children & Infant Discount: Not applicable.

Senior citizen tickets are issued either for round trip or for circle trip journeys. After commencement of journey if passenger wishes to collect refund for unused sectors, same can be done after deducting the normal sector fare for used sectors.
3) Reissue: Unless and otherwise specified, reissue charges as applicable will be charged only when tickets are reissued from higher value to lower value.
Once the ticket is reissued then passenger coupon of the original ticket will be attached to the audit coupon of the re-issued ticket as proof of Senior Citizen Concession.
Combination & Construction: Senior Citizen Club Premiere and Economy class fares can be combined on a half round trip basis. These fares cannot be combined with any other fare type. Domestic INR fares are not combinable with USD / International fares.
Extension of validity: Permitted only on medical grounds. Ticket validity can be extended before its expiry for another three months measured from the date of fitness mentioned on the certificate.
Free Baggage Allowance: Premiere - 35 kgs. and in Economy - 25 kgs.
Note: 2 Piece concept is allowed if passenger is travelling to/from USA / Canada. Passenger has to provide proof of the same failing which excess baggage charges will be applicable.
Excess Baggage Charges: 1.1% of the Normal Economy class basic fare.
PTA: Permitted only within India / Nepal at a charge.
Note: For unticketed PTA's collect INR 100 as recall charges provided the fare class does not attract any cancellation charges.
Documentation: Senior Citizen Discount will be offered on submission of either of the following documents to conform passenger's age / date of birth
1) School Leaving Certificate
2) Passport
3) Certificate from Employer from public sector undertaking or Govt. organizations where the senior citizen was employed.
4) Ration Card
5) Election Commission Card
6) Jet Airways Senior Citizen card.
7) A document confirming the Resident Status of the Senior Citizen. In case of Foreigners residing in India, details of the resident permit.
Note: ID card issued by railways for train pass is not valid as a proof of age.
Frequent Traveller: If the passenger is a frequent traveller then he can obtain a Senior Citizen Card which will be issued by Jet Airways as a permanent proof to avail this discount. Only photograph and proof of age is necessary to obtain a card. Jet Airways will issue card on the basis of age proof given by passenger and same is presented at the time of ticketing.
If the passenger is not a frequent traveller then he can complete the Senior citizen form and present to Jet Airways along with one photograph and proof of age as mentioned above. Jet Airways will approve on the basis of age proof given by passenger and issue the ticket.
Senior citizen card issued by Indian Airlines can be accepted as a proof of age. If passenger produce Indian Airlines cards then it is not necessary to complete the Senior Citizen form, as long as Jet Airways age conditions are fulfilled.
Ticketing against Senior Citizen Card, Photo copy of the card is to be attached to the audit coupon and the ticket jacket.
Corporate Deals: Not Permitted.
Passenger ID: Not required.

SENIOR CITIZENS CONCESSION (USD FARE) FOR DOMESTIC TRAVEL - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: This fare can be sold and ticketed worldwide.
Eligibility: Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals who are over 65 years of age, irrespective of the gender status.
Application: Fare can be applied for all types of journeys on domestic routes.
Discount: 20 % discount on the USD normal full fare.
Class of travel: In Economy, the class of travel will be "Y".
Free Baggage Allowance: 25 kgs. in Economy class.
Exception: Passenger connecting to/from USA / Canada, it will be 30kgs.
Excess Baggage Charges: 1.1% of the Normal Economy class basic fare published in INR tariff.
Passenger ID: Passengers must carry their passport, as it is required to check date of birth at the time of check-in and ticketing.

CANCER PATIENTS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: This concessional fare can be sold and ticketed only in India.
Eligibility: This concession is available only to those persons who are residents of India and who are suffering from Cancer. Same will not be applicable for passengers accompanying the cancer patient.
Application: Fare can be applied on all types of journeys in Economy Class on Domestic Sectors.
Note: Fare only apply if purchased before departure. If passenger wishes to avail this fare, ensure that tickets are reissued before departure. After departure post facto refund is not permitted.

The certificate mentioned above will be attached to the Audit Coupon of the ticket. Ticketing staff will ensure the genuineness of the certificate and bonafied of the institutes issuing such certificate.

Eligibility: This discount is available only for those persons who are totally blind and who are residents of India.

ARMED FORCES CONCESSION - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: This concessional fare can be sold and ticketed only in India.
Eligibility: This concession is applicable to Active Military Personal of the Indian Armed Force (Army, Navy and Air Force), Para military categories and their family members
Para Military categories are:
1) Border Security Force (BSF)
2) Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
3) Coast Guards (CG)
4) Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
5) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
6) Railway Protection Force (RPF)
7) National Security Guards (NSG)
8) Social Security Board (SSB)
9) Personnel of Intelligence Bureau (IB)
For the purpose of Armed Forces Concession, the family includes spouse, dependent children between 12 & 26 years of age and dependent parents. Married children are not considered as part of the family.
Application: Fare can be applied on all types of journeys in Economy Class on Domestic Sectors.

Part – III: This will be attached with the "Audit Coupon" of the ticket after due verification by the Jet Airways and after entering the ticket number and date of issue.
Note: Jet airways reserves the right to check the proof of dependent status of passenger accompanying the military / paramilitary personnel.
Free Baggage Allowance: For Adult: 25 kgs. in Economy class.
Note: 2 Piece concept is allowed if passenger is travelling to/from USA / Canada. Passenger has to provide proof of the same failing which excess baggage charges will be applicable.

YOUTH FARE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: This fare can be sold and ticketed worldwide.
Eligibility: Youth Fares can be availed by non-resident Indians and foreign nationals. Youth passenger must be 12 through 29 years of age.
Application: Youth Fares are published on all domestic routes. This fare can be applied on all types of journeys in Club Premiere and Economy Class on routes within India.
Discount: 20% discount in Club Premiere and 25% discount in Economy.
Class of travel: In Club Premiere the class of travel will be "J". In Economy, the class of travel will be "M".
Free Baggage Allowance: For an adult, it is 35 kgs. in Premiere and 25 kgs. in Economy.
Note: 2 Piece concept is allowed if passenger is travelling to/from USA / Canada. Passenger has to provide proof of the same failing which excess baggage charges will be applicable.
Excess Baggage Charges: 1.1% of the Normal Economy class basic fare published in INR tariff.
Passenger ID: Passenger must be briefed to carry passport as it is required to check date of birth at the time of check-in and ticketing.

LOCOMOTOR DISABILITY CONCESSION - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Advertising & Sales: This concessional fare can be sold and ticketed only in India.
Eligibility: Disabled person suffering from locomotor disability to the extent of 80% and above. Locomotor disability means physical disability of permanent nature affecting any of the limbs or the trunk affecting the mobility of the body or the part caused by any reason thereby affecting the muscular skeletal system of the body including the nervous system.
Application: Fare can be applied on all types of journeys in Economy Class on Domestic Sectors.
Discount: 50% discount on the INR normal full fare.
Class of travel Economy: In Economy, the class of travel will be "S".
Mixed class travel: Not Allowed.
Documentation: Person has to furnish the necessary certificate from the chief district medical officer to the effect that he is suffering from the locomotor disability to the extent of 80% and above. The district medical officer wherein the disabled ordinarily resides would constitute a board with one specialist in orthopaedic and another specialist whom he thinks suitable for the purpose for examining the disabled person and for grant of necessary certificate thereafter.
Photocopy of the certificate will be required to be attached with the audit coupon of the ticket. In case of tickets issued by travel agents, the photocopy of the certificate will be verified by Jet airways.
Free Baggage Allowance: For an adult it is 25 kgs. in Economy class.
