Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, will enjoy a rare honour when it proudly hosts a Safety Program from 15-18 April, 2008, at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The airline will bring the program to Mumbai in partnership with ISASI (International Society of Air Safety Investigators).
Commenting on Jet Airways’ involvement in the event, the airline’s CEO, Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, said, “Jet Airways, as one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, is committed to consistently meeting and exceeding the most stringent national and international safety requirements. Captain Hameed Ali, COO, Jet Airways, added, “This program is one of a series of activities we have embarked upon at Jet Airways to ensure that the highest levels of safety are always maintained in all the airline’s activities. We are constantly on the lookout to enhance Jet Airways’ lead in safety through the utilization of the services of suitably qualified people, the adoption of cutting-edge technology and so on.”
The event, spread over four days, will cover the areas of Emergency Response, Safety Management Systems, Airline investigations and Safety Management System Integration.
According to Captain Hassan Al-Mousawi, Vice President- Operations Safety and Quality, Jet Airways, “This initiative, on the part of Jet Airways, is in keeping with the airline’s desire to embed a positive safety culture in all its aviation activities. We believe the knowledge gained during this event will reinforce the strong safety sense among the airline’s management team.”
Designed to facilitate a better understanding of Safety Management Systems in the aviation sector, the Safety Program will be of particular importance to Airline Management so as to enable them to formulate and modify the appropriate processes and procedures with regard to the same.
The Program will attract such eminent speakers and delegates from the aviation sector as Shri AK Chopra, Jt. Director General, DGCA; and invitees to the same will include, in addition to Jet Airways’ Management, the DGCA, Air Traffic Control, Airport Authorities, and other Airline Management teams.
Panasonic Corporation will sponsor part of the activities during the four days of the Safety Program.
