What is an Electronic Ticket?
Electronic Ticket is Jet Airways' ticketless travel service. An innovative way of using technology of issuing air tickets electronically, which eliminates traditional paper tickets and creates an electronically held record (ticket) of the transaction. This electronic image of the ticket is stored in the Jet Airways reservation system.

Jet Airways web sales engine allows booking one way and return in 4 simple steps with features such as calendar shopping, flight matrix, multiple currency options, etc.
On a successful purchase the system will generate an Electronic Ticket and a printable itinerary receipt will be displayed. The itinerary receipt is your confirmation of travel. You will also receive an email with the status of your booking. You can print the confirmation shown on your screen or print the email. Then all you have to do is, walk in to the airport and check-in with valid photo identification and printed itinerary receipt. Your boarding pass will be issued against the itinerary receipt.
To enter the airport and for check-in, you must present the itinerary receipt along with valid photo identification, viz:
- Official Government issued photo identification
- Driving license
- Election photo identification
- Passport (for international passengers)
- Photo credit card
Payment by credit card
We accept all major credit cards. At times the card used to book and pay online may be required for verification during check-in, refunds processing, etc. At the time of paying for your e-ticket you will be asked for the CVV for security reasons. This is a 3 digit number that is present at the back of the Credit Card after the Credit Card Number. This assures that there is a physical presence of the Credit Card at the time of making the booking online.

Jet Airways is committed to the safety and security of the online transactions. Customer’s credit card is as safe as possible when booked on Jetairways.com.
Information exchanged with us online is treated securely and protected by Verisign, by using the internationally accepted and industry standard powerful encryption technology (128 bit secure socket layer, SSL). This software encrypts customer’s personal data as it is sent between the browser and our systems.
The web booking engine is directly connected to Sabre Reservation System, which has direct links to the Credit Card associations for credit card processing, avoiding that transactions get further exposed on the web. The Credit Card associations' reliability and security standards are utilized for these links.
e-ticketing across Jet Airways offices and Travel Agents
Jet Airways also offers e-tickets across its own direct / GSA offices in India and in over 38 countries. Travel Agents across 32 countries are also enabled to issue e-tickets on Jet Airways flights. We offer e-tickets through all major GDS's viz. Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus, Worldspan, Abacus and Apollo.
